Rock Climbing
Chamonix is a mecca of climbing in Europe & arguably the world. The courses run at all levels, meaning we have groups for beginners through to "confirme" - approx 5/6 lead. Depending upon level you may be "sport climbing" - using bolted protection, or climbing "trad" - placing nuts, cams & slings as appropriate. Again depending upon level there are lots of opportunities to make multi pitch climbs on the various sites around Mont Blanc.
Level
All levels - beginners can learn the basics, however we think that this course is ideal for people with wall experience who want to learn to lead safely on outdoor climbs. Equally, more experienced climbers can make ue of our guides local knowledge and learn to push their levels within a controlled environment.

Equipment
All technical equipment is provided by UCPA and is included in the price of your holiday. Clothing is not provided - see either the data sheet or joining instructions for further details.
Sample Program
Sunday
Arrival between 10.00am and 5.00pm. As there are no activities on the day of arrival, you can arrive between 2.00 and 5.00pm to check into your accommodation and collect your sports equipment.
Once you arrive, you can take full advantage of the swimming pool and village.
Information meeting about your activities at 6.00pm.
Monday
Local climbing site, split into the different levels. For the beginners basic rope instruction, belaying, abseiling, clipping. For more experienced groups develop technical skills.
Tuesday
Full day excursion.
Develop skills according to level.
Wednesday
Full day excursion.
Beginners - perfecting the ropework. For more experienced groups - longer routes.
Thursday
Full day excursion.
Explore the routes on the Aiguilles Rouge - great range of routes for all levels.
Friday
Full day excursion.
Beginners - back to the Aiguilles Rouge. For experienced groups then Plan de l'Aiguille or Aiguilles du Midi
Saturday
Explore the local area, hiking etc. Check-out 14:00
