Action Outdoors was created in 2004 by Mark Gillis & David Robertson, originally from a frustration of searching for a reasonably priced way to go skiing. “For many years we spent holidays, with a big group of mates, squeezed into a tiny French Ski apartment. The final straw was probably in 2002, when we had 14 of us in a 8 person apartment. We discovered how the French went skiing – UCPA – and have never looked back."
A partnership was formed with UCPA in 2004 to bring UK clients to their centres in France and the numbers have grown every year since.
Action Outdoors have also subsequently set up www.chalet-in-chamonix.co.uk and also entered into a partnership with www.inspiredtoski.com – both slightly different niches, but still with a very strong emphasis on the activity.
Mark & David are both still very actively involved with Action Outdoors and outdoor sports in general. In 2007 Julie Slaughter joined the team and has helped the company grow from strength to strength. Along with the team of seasonal staff they are here to help you get the most from your activity holiday.
